Welcome to the SMTA Website!

Welcome to SMTA, the Seattle Music Teachers’ Association. We are professional music teachers (both independent and school-affiliated) offering instruction in all instruments and voice. We give lessons and hold classes in neighborhood studios throughout the greater Seattle area, teaching a great variety of musical styles to students of all ages. Why study with an SMTA teacher?

SMTA offers performance and enrichment opportunities throughout the year as well as competitions, adjudications, and scholarships. We are proud to be affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association and enjoy all the benefits of their nationwide programs.
