As an independent music teacher, I joined SMTA to connect with colleagues and to learn new skills.

At every meeting, workshop, social event, concert or conference, SMTA meets those needs – and so much more! I’ve expanded my horizons as a teacher, a musician and as a businesswoman – and I’ve made many life-long friends in the process!
— RoseMarie Tamburri

...if I had to rank the best decisions I’ve made since starting to build my studio/life as a teacher, I’d put joining the MTNA at the top of that list... I’ve gotten somewhere in the neighborhood of half a dozen students from either our website directory, referrals from other members, or from secondary references from either of the first two, and generally feel like I’m about ten times the teacher (minimum) and a hundred times the business person (albeit still with plenty to learn) thanks to my membership. From the webinars online, the social elements we carry on, the meetings we run, and the events we put together, it’s been incredibly valuable for me, and I’ve certainly never looked back.
