Common Interest Groups:
Common Interest Groups (CIGs) address members’ interests and needs directly, building on the extraordinary richness and diversity of our community of music teachers.
Our CIGs move SMTA beyond our monthly meetings, into members’ homes and studios all around the city, or online.
If you don’t see a group on a topic you’d like to explore, it’s easy to start your own! Just contact the CIG coordinator with your proposed topic.

Have something pertaining to teaching or professional development you’d like to discuss with other members? Why not start your own CIG? Your group can meet once, or regularly, in-person or online. This is a flexible way to learn more and connect with others on topics of interest.
